We want you to be aware that the Steamer Insert has four small marks on the top rim. When we apply the anodized surface it must be held in place, leaving what we fondly call “beauty marks”. Anodizing creates a molecular bonded surface that is almost as hard as diamonds, harder than stainless steel. It is created by dipping the pans into a series of liquid baths, thus our beauty marks left from holding onto the pan. There is no adverse affect on the performance of the pan, just cosmetic looks.

Love Mans Pans and this is the first steamer I've purchased. Based on the great reviews I am looking forward to using it! My only concern is that it might be too shallow? I haven't tried steaming larger bulkier vegetables yet (like Bok Choy or Kale)but thinking it might not hold as much as I'd like it to hold.
ManPans: There is a limitation in size but you could cut large vegetables into half size pieces. I presume you will eat smaller sizes in the end anyway! Enjoy steaming and check out adding some herbs, wine or veges like garlic to the water for an extra flavor hint.

I love this steamer; have searched stores and internet sites trying to find a large insert and was thrilled to find this (bought with a pan and lid).

This is the second steamer I've purchased. Obviously it works well if I'm investing in a second one. Steams foods quicker than the convention stand alone steamer.
